ARTIST STATEMENT
"The Art of Pulling was not invented by me years ago,
nor was it created by my grandmother from which
I proudly inherited such gifted talent.

"The Art of Pulling" is a practice done by many whom
unlike me don't know it's an art... art only perfection by
many years, hours and pulls of individual hairs carefully
chosen from an entire head of hairs which wait patiently
to be picked. They are chosen by an experienced panel of
2 fingers, sometimes 4, which after seconds of casting are able,
to determine based on it's texture & thickness the possibility of
extraction, which hopefully includes a delicious root.
This encounter with the root can cause an overwhelming sensation
to both male & female artists as well as a devastating reaction
if that hair is misplaced, lost or stolen.

"The Art of Pulling" is a popular art form done by many who live
ashamed of their talent while secretly creating well-designed hairless
spots. The fear of rejection, criticism & original tasteless jokes can
lead these artists into a lonely & secluded picking environment.
This art is also performed anywhere in the body where hair is
grown and found. Yes, including there.

"The Art of Pulling" in this case presented to you this fine day
is one that has been in practice since 1982. This particular design
has been work in progress since 2001, hopefully coming to it's
conclusion soon, but with a date not yet determined nor chosen,
"The Art of Pulling" is and will continue until it decide to finish on it's own.

"The Art of Pulling" is expressed in a satiric manner to hopefully help
other artists open up towards their talent & live a little happier,
a little less ashamed, a little less embarrassed, a little less pist
but most of all, a little less disappointed in themselves.

To my Fellow pickers, pullers & trichotillomaniacs...
be nice to yourself. We are Ok.
